It holds the "ear buds" and the shuffle with no problem. This item holds our iPod shuffle very well.
I can always unhook it and toss it in my car if I'm not using my bag. This is a great accessory for my iPod shuffle. Otherwise, love it. My only problem is that earbuds don't stay in my ears very well, so I have to use the kind that hook over your ears and they don't fit in the case, so the earpieces hang out of the case after I zip it up. It keeps headphone wires from becoming tangled when not in use. I keep it attached to my workout bag so it is always with me when I need it.
It has a place for the shuffle to snap into place and the face is protected by foam. It really is a great quality case. The earbuds wind around the outside and it has notches for the buds and plug to fit in. This is a great product, I bought one for my daughter for her shuffle. It holds her earbuds and shuffle in a hard case that is made with nylon on the outside and felt lined on the inside.
Finally I can keep my earbuds from tangling up all the time. This is a great product.
I checked it out directly at Speck and it was less expensive through them, but they charged a hefty shipping and handling cost. My niece purchased one last year in green, but this one was only offered in black, which was not a problem for my son. It appears to be made very well. I ordered the product before Christmas and it arrived in plenty of time. Through Amazon, I used the Super Saver Shipping and it came out less than direct from Speck. It is a great way to keep his Shuffle and buds in one place. My son loves it. He attached it (via the clip which is part of the puck) to his bookbag and he doesn't need to guess where he left his Shuffle.
